Rajasthan, known for its royal palaces and colourful culture has served many mouth-watering dishes from its cuisines to all the food lovers. Dal Baati Churma, Gatte Ki Sabzi, Ker Sangri Ro Saag are some of the must-try dishes to taste the flavour of Rajasthan. Apart from the Maharaja Thali of Rajasthan for your apatite, here are some of the snacks that could be a good go-to snack for your tea-time:
Bundiya-Bhujia
It's rare to find a Rajasthani who never had Bundiya-Bhujia as their go-to snack during the tea-time. The spicy bhujia balances the sweetness of bundiya. You can carry them in an air-tight container anywhere for any time, be it during travelling or a midnight craving.
Pyaaz Ki Kachori
Though the Rajasthani cuisine offers a variety of various spicy kachoris, pyaaz ki kachori could not be missed. To taste it the best, try it with the mix of spicy coriander and sweet tamarind chutney. These deep-fried kachoris are stuffed with boiled potatoes and onions. The different spices used for the stuffing adds a tangy flavour to the dish.
Bajra Roti and Lehsun Chutney
This go-to snack will be a saviour for all the health-conscious people. Bajra, which is known as pearl millet is a good source of dietary fibres. Papad Ki Churi
Even the Maharaja Thali of any Rajasthan cuisine restaurant is considered as incomplete by many without papad. Joining the snacks list too, Papad ki Churi is something that can be prepared and served within minutes. All you need to do is take a few Bikaneri papads and roast them. Crush them into big pieces and toss it well with the mixture of tomatoes and onions garnished with coriander leaves. To make it tangy, mix spices and do not forget to add black salt.
Moong Dal Pakori
Apart from Moong Dal Ka Halwa, these pakoras are also must-try food item. You can have these fried fitters either with chutney or with kadi. This deep-fried snack is served as starters at many events in Rajasthan.
