How to make Rasmalai with milk powder?
Step 1: Take a clean wide bowl and add some milk powder, maida and baking soda. Mix them properly until the dough is ready. After it is ready, take a small portion of dough, roll it and make a ball. Flatten the ball gently afterwards. Make sure the balls a little small as they will grow triple in their size after they are ready.
Step 2: Heat milk and allow it to boil well. Then add sugar, cardamom powder and saffron strands on the milk. So when the milk boils, it will appear light yellow in colour due to saffron. Keep the flame low and smoothly drop the Rasmalai dough balls in the milk.
Step 3: Leave it on low flame for 10 to 12 minutes or until done. Make sure that Rasmalai will be super soft when it is boiling in the milk. Handle it gently as otherwise, the balls could break.
When the Rasmalai is ready, cut one piece to verify if the interior is cooked. If it looks cooked, switch off the flame and let it cool down. After the Rasmalai has cooled down, refrigerate it for an hour. Later, serve the delicious dessert with chopped saffron strand to make it look appealing.
