Nutella has been a staple item for breakfast meals right from its launch. A single jar of Nutella never seems to go unused because of its highly addictive nature and wholesome goodness. But Nutella is not something that can be only indulged with a spoon dipped inside its jar. A dash Nutella not only makes a breakfast mouth-watering but also acts a cherry on top for every dessert. So here are some of the easiest Nutella dessert recipes.
1. Nutella Banana Challah
Ingredients:
- ¼ Nutella Chocolate Hazelnut spread
- Two tablespoons salted almonds
- One ripe banana
- Four slices of challah, egg bread or white bread
Directions:
- Take two bread/challah slices and spread the Nutella spread on them. Sprinkle a few salted almonds on each slice to add the salty kick.
- Take two more bread/challah slices and spread Nutella on them once again and add banana slices on them. Heat a grill or use a sandwich maker.
- Take the salted almond slices and club them and take the banana Nutella slices and club them over the already clubbed almond slices.
- Press on the prepared set of four clubbed slices of bread and place them on the grill or in the sandwich maker. Once they are properly grilled cut them, and your dessert is ready to be devoured.
2. Nutella banana bread
Ingredients:
- Two cups of flour
- ¾ tablespoon baking soda
- ½ tablespoon salt
- ¼ cup softened butter
- One cup of sugar
- Two large eggs
- One and ¼ cup mashed ripe bananas
- One tablespoon vanilla
- ¼ cup of milk
- ¾ cup of Nutella
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350◦ F
- Spray the 9x5 inch loaf pan with a non-stick spray.
- Take a bowl and whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together.
- Take a separate bowl and add cream sugar and butter together. Take eggs by adding one at a time and whisking well each time. Add the mashed bananas, milk, and vanilla and beat till it’s well combined.
- Add the flour mixture and beat until its properly incorporated. Avoid over mixing.
- Heat Nutella spread for 15 seconds in the microwave. Add one cup of the banana bread to the heated Nutella and stir until well mixed.
- Spoon the Nutella – banana batter alternately with the plain banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Swirl the batter together with a knife.
- Let it bake for 50-60 minutes and let it cool down for 15 minutes. Remove it carefully from the loaf pan and let it cool down for some more time. The Nutella-banana bread is ready to be served.
3. Brown sugar Hazelnut bars
Ingredients:
- ¾ cup of butter
- ½ cup of brown sugar
- ½ tablespoon of salt
- One large egg
- One ½ tablespoon vanilla extract
- Two cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup of hazelnut chocolate spread
- One cup of toasted hazelnuts
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375◦F. Spray the non-stick spray on a 13x9 inches baking pan. Line the pan with aluminium foil and then spray cooking oil.
- Set the mixer on medium-high speed and beat butter, brown sugar, and salt until the mix is creamy. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
- Set the mixer on low speed and beat in the flour till it is just combined. Avoid over mixing.
- Transfer the prepared batter to the pan.
- Spread the batter evenly in layers into the pan with lightly floured hands.
- Bake it for 25-30 minutes till a golden brown colour is achieved. Let it cool down on the rack.
- Spread the crust with Nutella and sprinkle the toasted hazelnuts for the added crunch. Press to adhere.
- Using the foil remove it from the pan and cut it into one and ½ inch pieces.
- Your hazelnut bars are ready to be served.
