Chocolate is a mood lifter and not one, not two,  but many resonate with this fact. It's a perfect gift and also looked at as the most thoughtful gift. Every joyous occasion sees the light of chocolates. Yes, credit must be given where credit is due and what better an occasion to express gratitude towards our very own chocolate. Here's what the versatile chocolate has been doing...

While celebrations, feeling good and chocolates go hand in hand and can also be called synonymous to each other, Chocolate has globally become the unifier of symbols of celebrations-- whether we talk about birthday celebrations, anniversary or graduation ceremonies one element common is our hero - chocolate. Be it on a cake, a treat or just anything that crosses your mind. Our hero is omnipresent when it's time to party and feel good.

Here's a quick flip back to why chocolate has become humankind's best friend:

A Kick Starter

Just out of bed and it's only a perfect cup of hot chocolate that can bring a chocolate lover back to life. Yes, it's this combination of hot milk and chocolate that can, by all means, be called heavenly. It doesn't matter which side of the bed you got off from, all that matters is this energy drink which awakens that sleeping person inside you and sets the day ahead.

Chocolate is the kick starter as it contains caffeine, albeit a minimum amount.

A Pick-Me-Up

Bad days can never be kept at bay, they do resurface. Als,o how do you value happiness when you have no clue what sadness feels like?  What happens when it is that bad day, well, it surely needs to be treated differently from you bad hair day. On a bad hair day you can't let your tresses loose, but tying a bun works. How to heal a bad day, chocolate maybe?

Chocolate heals a bad day and science backs it. As per studies, cocoa boosts brain serotonin which is known to be an anti-depressant and mood uplifter.

Additionally, as per a study, published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology, those who drank a rich chocolate drink once-a-day reported feeling more calm and content than those who did not.

A Sweet Gesture That Releases ALL THINGS feel-good

A bar of chocolate is sure to bring a smile to your face. But the thrill of chocolate is to try if the same trick works on others as well. It may be your easy go-to trick to brighten someone's day but studies have proven that a sinful chocolate goes a long way in terms of sweet gestures.

Since chocolate contains phenylethylamine (PEA), which is the chemical that the brain releases to encourage feel-good endorphins, chocolate has scientifically been proven to be the perfect gift.

A Quick & NOT COMPLETELY Unhealthy Snack

While chocolate can be unhealthy munchies, chocolate in healthy moderation can be the best snack. While traditionally looked at as a "high calorie" red alert, studies have shown that eating cocoa can reduce levels of “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and raise the levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL).
