1) Idli
Idli is a type of savoury rice cake which makes a great breakfast dish. They are steamed, puffy and delicious. No oil is used in making them. They are easy to make. They are served with sambhar, which is again made of dal and vegetables. It can also be served with chutney or both. Hence, they are one of the healthiest breakfast options.
2) Dosa
Dosa is a breakfast option that is a treat for your taste buds. It is an excellent source of carbohydrates, proteins, and fibre. Dosa is prepared from a batter of rice and dal. Rice can be replaced with oats or rawa. Since dosa is prepared with fermented batter it is easy for the body to assimilate and digest it. Dosa can be stuffed with potatoes, onions and many other vegetables. It can be served with sambhar or chutney.

3) Uttapam
Uttapam is yet another tasty south Indian breakfast option. It is just like pancakes with toppings. Uttapam is made from dosa batter. It contains some amount of fat as well. The topping for Uttapam generally consists of tomatoes, capsicums, onions, chillies, beans, etc. It can be served with chutney.
