Momos are a delicacy from the far-eastern end of the country and have been rapidly gaining popularity as evidenced by the number of momo stands popping up in major cities across the country. It is believed that momos were originated in China and passed through Tibet to the Himalayan regions. They are a significant part of Tibetan and Nepali cuisines. However, in a city like Mumbai, where the go-to food has always been vada pav and pani puri, momos have gained much love. Here are five places in Mumbai that serve the best momos in town. The place serves tender meat fillings in a thin maida mould that taste delightful. Kepchaki Momos also have dumplings in vegetarian, pork, and prawn variants.

The Apetite Momos

The Apetite Momos is located in Thane (West). The place is a true haven for all momo lovers in the city. From vegetarian momos, chilli momos, egg momos, chicken achari momos, paneer achari momos, to mutton nawab momos, The Apetite Momos has it all. The place is pocket-friendly and delicious. These dumplings are a must-try.

Dev’s Momos Hut is located near Siddhivinayak Temple. It is a modest momo kiosk. Dev’s Momos Hut serves deliciously loaded chicken, paneer, and vegetarian momos with finger-licking garlic and tomato chilly chutney. The place has just opened another outlet outside Lower Parel station too.

Bhukka Sher is also locaed in Andheri (West). Tandoori momos are one of the best food items that the place has to offer.
