Jhal Muri
Jhal is spicy and Muri is puffed rice. The little snack made by puffed rice tastes sour, spicy and tangy all at the same time. It has the zing of lemon and is super delicious. There are various accounts of the British favouring this light snack during the Queen's rule in India.
Begun Bhaja
Begun Bhaja is also known as Baingan Bhaja and is the most loved dish of West Bengal. It is a pan-fried or shallow fried marinated slices of eggplant. It is fried in mustard oil and the baingan is coated with rice flour.
Aloo Posto
Aloo means potatoes and posto means poppy seeds in Bengali. It is the traditional Bengali recipe of potatoes with a lightly spiced poppy seeds paste.
Sukto
This authentic traditional Bengali dish has a sweet and spicy flavour. Shukto is a traditional Bengali dish where vegetables are cooked with poppy seeds and mustard. It is a very soothing summer dish, especially for summer.

Daab is tender coconut. So the dish is made by cooking prawns in mustard so when both the flavours are mixed together it just gets better.
Muri Ghonto
While India stands divided over which biryani is best, Bengalis created a no-nonsense fish pulao with the stand-out ingredient of a fish head. Combined with rice and a pre-fried fish-head, this dish is a Bengali staple.
Sandesh
