While winters might be your favourite time of the year, your skin is bearing the brunt of it. Here are some easy skincare remedies for dry skin during winters.

The snuggly and cosy winter season also brings with it dry and patchy skin. During winters, the air becomes very dry and hence leads to rough skin for most of us. Our skin always needs some extra love, especially so during this time. While many of us might turn to market-bought moisturising creams, we thought of going natural. Hence, here is a list of moisturisers that you can find in your kitchen which might not burn a hole in your pocket and are effective as well.
1. Olive oil
Natural oils are extremely important when it comes to skin moisturisation. All you need is to take a few drops of olive oil and apply it on your skin as required. It is best recommended to leave the oil in overnight. Olive oil helps to helps to revive damaged skin cells due to extreme dryness. In the long run, it also helps prevent wrinkles and fine lines.
2. Honey
Honey is an excellent moisturiser. Add a few drops of honey to your morning tea and, while you enjoy it, apply some on your skin. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Repeat the process regularly. Watch your skin become supple and start glowing.
3. Coconut Oil
Many celebrities swear by this magical ingredient. It works best for extremely dry skin as well. Before jumping on your bed every night, apply a few drops of the oil on your skin. Include this in your daily skincare routine and you will find visible changes. Say hello to newly rejuvenated, supple skin.
4. Aloe Vera
The gel-like substance inside the thick leaves of the aloe vera plant is all you need for every skin problem. Cut one leaf, scoop out the gel and apply this on your skin. It moisturises your skin effortlessly. Aloe vera also reduces acne or skin problems, if any.
5. Yoghurt
Take two bowls of yoghurt. Add a few drops of honey or sugar in one and indulge. While you are at it, apply some from the other bowl on your skin. Leave it on for 10 minutes before washing it off. Yoghurt will not only moisturise your skin but also exfoliate it, which gives you a glow.
