Atopic Dermatitis: Here are the symptoms and causes of the disease
Atop dermatitis is a skin condition which causes acute redness and itchiness on the skin. Atopic dermatitis may be caused by the lack of moisture in the skin.
Atopic dermatitis is a condition which causes the redness of the skin or creates an itching sensation in the body. According to studies, this condition can occur at all ages but is mostly seen in children. Atopic dermatitis tends to occur periodically and usually chronic amongst those who are affected. Research also shows that atopic dermatitis may be also accompanied by asthma in some cases. According to studies, there is not a substantial cure for this skin disease. But it can be prevented with the required precautions.
Atopic Dermatitis causes dry skin and itchiness
According to studies, atopic dermatitis can be prevented by moisturising your skin and avoid using rough soaps. The eczema can also be avoided by using the medically recommended skin creams and ointments. The symptoms of the condition include the occasional drying of the skin. It also creates excess itching of the skin which causes redness as a result. Research states that one of the prime symptoms of the condition include the occurrence of patches on the skin including the neck, hands, legs, ankles, chest and the face. The skin may also develop small boils which may ooze pus when scratched or pressed.
Atopic dermatitis may increase with incessant scratching
Atopic dermatitis may also cause the skin to be scaly and sensitive. The skin condition can affect your sleep and the overall daily routine. A healthy skin acts as a guard for harmful bacteria and allergens from entering the skin. However, eczema affects this aspect of the skin and according to research, is a gene-related condition. Sometimes, food allergies may also cause this condition. The disease can cause hay fever and asthma. Studies shows that atopic dermatitis can cause neurodermatitis which causes an acute itchiness and patches on the skin. This may also cause the discolouring of the skin. Atopic dermatitis can also be increased due to incessant scratching which further causes cracks and sores on the skin. According to research, some types of atopic dermatitis are allergic contact dermatitis and irritant hand dermatitis.
