A Bonsai is one of the best indoor plant to have. These plants are more delicate and delightful plants that one can have indoors. You just need to keep in mind certain guidelines to take care of the plant. Caring for a Bonsai tree can be a bit different than the rest indoor plants. The reason being these giant Bonsai Trees are planted in small pots, therefore they have less space to get nutrients and water. Bonsai is a tropical tree and it requires light and humidity. Here are the specific guidelines you need to take care of a Bonsai Tree.
1. Light
All plants need light, but tropical trees like Bonsai needs high intensity of light. The main issue with keeping a Bonsai tree indoors is that it requires lots of light, which indoors find it hard to provide. Trees do not die quickly, but it stunts their growth. So make sure that you place Bonsai tree in bright sunlight. Artificial lighting can also help. So don't forget to place the plant with large amounts of light.
2. Humidity
There is yet another issue with keeping a Bonsai tree at home. Bonsai requires high levels of humidity. You indoor conditions of humidity are not enough for this tree. But you can place Bonsai in a tray filled with water and mist your Bonsai with water as often as possible. Keep your windows open so that air circulates and helps keep higher humidity.
3. Watering and Fertilising
The most important thing to remember is not to water the tree too often. Only water the plant when it needs. Unnecessary watering will harm your plant. Feed your Bonsai with appropriate amounts of fertilisers as stated on the fertiliser packaging. Remember to balance the growth instead of if stimulating the growth. Never overfeed it will damage to your tree.
