Serena Williams' Husband Alexis Ohanian Shared A Heartwarming Video To Motivate Her For The US Open

American tennis star Serena Williams is all set to participate in the US Open final, after a year's break following her pregnancy. Encouraging the sportswoman to win the US Open title for the seventh time, Serena's husband Alexis Ohanian has shared a heartwarming video looking back to her journey from the days of her pregnancy to taking back her position on the field. The Reddit co-founder assembled pictures of his wife Serena and daughter Olympia over the past year and snippets of an interview post her last match. The video perfectly captures Serena's journey from the hospital back to the tennis court.

Sharing the video on his Instagram account on Saturday, September 8, Serena's proud husband Ohanian wrote, "She fought for her life, for our child, for recognition, for equal pay, for women’s rights. She never gives up. She’s passionate and unrelenting and the most inspiring person I know. I had this made for @serenawilliams last night after her match with some home videos from 1 year ago this week. Help me make sure she sees it! #iloveyouserena"

As per reports last year during this time Serena was in the midst of four post-natal surgeries followed by a difficult delivery. The video begins with a clip where an interviewer tells Serena: "A year ago, you were not here..." The video then goes on to show Serena in the hospital with her newborn. "A year ago I was fighting for my life in the hospital after I had the baby, every time I step out on this court I'm so grateful that I have an opportunity to play this sport." Serena is heard saying in the video.

Although not much is known about Serena's relationship with Alexis Ohanian, she announced her engagement to the Reddit co-founder on December 29, 2016. On April 19, 2017, Williams announced her pregnancy posting a picture of herself being 20 weeks pregnant. On September 1, 2017, She gave birth to her daughter, named Alexis Olympia Ohanian. The couple got married on  November 16, 2017, in New Orleans. Her wedding was attended by several eminent personalities including Beyoncé, Anna Wintour, Kelly Rowland, and Kim Kardashian West. Serena Williams, the 23 Grand Slam champion, is all set to confront Japan's Naomi Osaka in the finals of the US Open on Saturday, September 8.
