One can know a country's culture and history by visiting its museums. While some may consider them as 'boring', others find it as an art, and enjoy their visit. Here are the list of six museums in India that are wacky, weird and just mad.

1) HUMAN BRAIN MUSEUM

Indians are really brainy people. NIMHANS is located in the city of Bengaluru, which preserves human brains. Conceptualized by Dr S.K Shankar, the museum has over 300 samples of human brain collected since the past 30 years. It is a great place to learn about the human brain and its working. The place aims to promote neurosciences and to bring general awareness about organ donation.

2) SEX MUSEUM

Yes, a sex museum in India actually exists. Antarang, Sex Health Information Art Gallery, is dedicated to educating the citizens regarding the human body and sex. The museum was opened in 2002 at Mumbai's red-light district, 'Kamatipura', following an increase in the cases of HIV AIDS to educate the public regarding the disease. A subject that is considered taboo, the museum is a landmark move in spreading awareness about this ill-informed topic.

3) BLACK MAGIC MUSEUM

Assam is infamous for the witchcraft and black magic reportedly practised in the state. The Mayong Central Museum and Emporium, located in Guwahati, Assam, exhibits several ancient relics associated with sorcery and witchcraft. Indians take their chores really seriously, including using the pot. So much so that there is an entire museum solely dedicated to toilets. Sulabh International Museum of Toilets has some rare collection of facts and artifacts regarding the historical evolution of toilets since ancient times. 5) BROOM MUSEUM

A never-thought about place, this jhadu museum is located 15 km from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Arna Jharna is a unique, open-spaced, desert museum, where the collection of brooms grabs all the attention, showcasing more than 150 different types of brooms. Unusually, brooms here have genders too - those cleaning outdoors are the masculine 'buhara', and the indoor ones are the feminine 'buhari'.

6) KITES MUSEUM

There's even a kite museum, situated in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Kites are hugely popular throughout the country. However, they hold a different charm in Gujarat where innumerable kites can be seen up in the sky on the day of Uttarayan/Makar Sankranti (14 January). It is a prime tourist attraction with an extraordinary amount of kites on display. There are also 16-feet long kites depicting Gujarat's Garba dance, mirror-work kites, and even Japanese kites among others.
