Getting lost in the jungle can happen when you least expect it. Maybe you wander off and get disoriented, maybe you can forget your way in the dark. Either way, your main priorities in such a critical situation should be to find water, food and build a shelter. You should also make sure that you avoid common dangers such as predators and keep them away. Here are a few tools which can be found easily at home that can help you survive in the wilderness. Next time when you go on a trip, carry your own survival kit with the following tools.

Knife

The knife is not used just to cut vegetables for soup. When you are in the jungle, knives can be used as a self-defence mechanism to protect oneself from wild and harmful animals. One can also use a knife as a weapon to hunt. It can also be used to cut branches to build a shelter in the wilderness.

Rope

A rope can be used to build a shelter by tying it between two trees. Being able to move efficiently and quickly is important for survival. This may include conquering a steep cliff or hill.
