Christmas is a magical time. But spending it in white snow-land is even more magical. There are various destinations in India where one can spend a white Christmas complete with snowflakes and snowman. Here is a list of such destinations where one can enjoy the white winter wonderland vibes and Yuletide festivities:
Auli, Uttarakhand
Auli is a little hamlet in the state of Uttarakhand which turns into a dreamy white landscape during the winters. It gets submerged in the thick snow and also transforms into a ski resort for tourists. One can learn skiing or hone one’s skiing skills here. There are also igloo-shaped tents where one can plan their stay. Auli seems to be the perfect place if one wishes to spend a white Christmas in India, holidaying with their family.
Manali, Himachal Pradesh
Manali is one of the most popular hill stations in India which sees footfalls all over the year. But during the winters, the place turns into a winter wonderland covered in white snow everywhere. Snowfalls are also known to be lovely here. It is also the starting point of many adventures trips like Spiti or Ladakh. Nainital, Uttarakhand
Situated in the Kumaon belt, Nainital in Uttarakhand is a beautiful hill station where can enjoy a white Christmas. It is one of the ideal destinations to celebrate Christmas and New Year. Snowfall generally happens during the month of January. There is also a church in Nainital beside the Naini lake where one can get some Christmas feels. One can also ride a horse to Land’s End, where the hills meet the plains. The place is lined with little cottages amidst a white landscape.
