While it is also known for its relentless chaos which can become troublesome at times, the city also has some peaceful places which are a must-visit to get rid of the daily hustle of Mumbai. Be it your office work or spend some me-time these places will not fail to disappoint you. Here are some places in Mumbai worth exploring if you're new to the city or want a quiet hangout spot.
Marine drive
As clichéd as this may sound, Marine Drive is irreplaceable. Also known as Queen’s Necklace; Marine Drive is perhaps the most iconic place in Mumbai. The stretch of Marine Drive is 3.6 km long and you should ideally find one spot or the other free for yourself. The place is lined with palm trees which you may find soothing.
Jogger’s Park
A seaside jogging park. You could visit the place for a peaceful walk. Right on the shore of the Arabian Sea, Jogger’s Park was opened way back in 1990 and is one of the best places to visit in Mumbai, if you are looking for a peaceful time. The park is usually busy with joggers during the morning and evening, but if you visit the place mid-day, you could expect it to be quiet and nice.
Silver beach
An extension of the Juhu Beach, you could take a walk on this part of the beach as it is known to be peaceful and clean among other beaches across Mumbai. There is also an elevated park on the beach that is open from 6 AM to 11 AM, and then from 4 PM to 9 PM. You could enjoy an evening stroll while watching the sunset over the Arabian Sea. Make sure you stop for fresh coconut water.
Kanheri Caves
Kanheri Caves is an ideal place to take a peaceful and refreshing walk. It contains Buddhist scriptures, paintings, and more, which have reportedly existed since the 1st Century BCE. Located on a hillside, the caves present a wonderful opportunity for visitors to walk and experience nature. It also makes way for a great tourist attraction.
