Kumartuli is a well-known place largely known for its traditional sculptures such as statues of gods and goddesses, demons, characters of local legends and famous historical figures. Dalhousie Square/BBD Bagh

Dalhousie Square was named in honour of Lord Dalhousie, governor-general in 1856. After 90 years the place was renamed to Benoy-Badal-Dinesh Bagh after three freedom fighters. This place is located in the heart of the Old Calcutta. The square is surrounded by a group of historic architectural buildings, some of which are British Raj’s earliest structures.

St. John's Church

St. John's Church used to be an office for India’s first British governor-general, Warren Hastings. The building conforms into a neoclassical architectural style. The structure of the church depicts the British composition with confined columns. The church consists of the memorial of Job Charnock, who was the founder of British Calcutta. This place is perfect for a photographer to bring back the distinct image of the British Raj.
