While travelling, especially to remote places, it's important we keep ourselves prepared with hygiene kit which has all the basic necessities. Clean hands to stay germ-free
Keeping one’s hands clean is of the primary steps to stay germ-free. It is important to keep washing your hands during travelling especially before you're about to eat. Some people carry hand sanitizers wherever they go which comes in handy when you don't have a halt at a local restroom. In case you forget the sanitizer, good old soaps work too. It's important to kep in mind that while travelling, you avoid physical contact with people who are sick or who look sick.
Clean face to stay germ-free
Maintaining facial hygiene is also an important step to stay germ-free during travelling. Dry skin or sunburns can not only spoil your skin but also your vacation pictures. Two things should be kept in mind for face hygiene while travelling- 1) climate and 2) skin type. For hot and dry regions, lip balm, moisturizer and sunscreen are a must. A good facial cleanser is also necessary to avoid germs and dust settling on the face while travelling.
Clean clothes to stay germ-free
Strategising one’s clothes is an important hack to stay germ-free while travelling. If it is an outdoor travel one should carry light-weight, wrinkle-free clothes which dry quickly. Pocket-size portable laundry bags are also available that help keep clothes clean. If one does not have the provision to iron the clothes, wrinkle releasers prove to be a good alternative.
Menstrual hygiene to stay germ-free
For women, menstrual hygiene is something that should be kept in mind whether travelling or at home. Adequate sanitary napkins or tampons should be carried especially if one is travelling to a remote place. These should also be stored in dry places so that the items stay germ-free. It is important to change the napkin or pad every three to four hours while travelling. Adequate amounts of paper towels, toilet paper and anti-bacterial liquids should also be carried during travels. Lastly, painkillers and PMS medication must not be forgotten either.
