Ashoke Pandit takes on Kavita Krishnan & Shehla Rashid for targeting Harbhajan Singh over 'Moon, Flag' Chandrayaan-2 success post
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit slammed the lobby's over their comments on Harbhajan Singh's tweet, saying that people like Kavita Krishnan and Shehla Rashid have left no stones unturned in defaming the country.
Retired cricketer Harbhajan Singh's tweet hailing ISRO over the successful launch of Chandrayaan-2 and trolling Pakistan among other countries raked up quite a controversy with a section of society calling the veteran batsman bigoted. In the tweet he posted on Monday, Bhajji one hand congratulated India on its entry in the list of countries which have their flags on the moon, on the other hand, he trolled countries which have their flags on the moon, sharing the flags of Pakistan, Algeria, Turkey, Maldives, Mauritania, Tunisia, Libya, Malaysia and Azerbaijan.
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit slammed the lobby's over their comments on Harbhajan Singh's tweet, saying that people like Kavita Krishnan and Shehla Rashid have left no stones unturned in defaming the country.
"All these people Shehla Rashid and Kavita Krishnan have been working against the country for the past so many years. They have left no stones unturned in defaming the Prime Minister and the country. Nobody will do this to their own country. There might be a difference in opinion, where you can differ on issues, but you can't defame your own country the way they have been abusing left, right and centre. They have been very selective in their opinion and issues, whether it is lynching, riots and abuses," the filmmaker said.
Ashoke Pandit further claimed that it is their frustration and insecurity over PM Modi's victory in the Lok Sabha elections which is why they target celebrities who speak for the nation.
"It is a gang of urban-Naxals, 'Tukde-Tukde' gang and the Award-Wapsi gang have been doing this for so many years. Anything which puts India on the world map, these people try to see that that doesn't happen, because they are frustrated. They were devasted after Modi's grand victory in the elections. They were defeated miserably, so in order to keep themselves alive they will react to Harbhajan's tweet. They are realising that this country is becoming a very strong country and the entire world is looking up to India. They are getting frustrated and insecure which is why they are targetting other people," he added.
