Akhilesh Yadav joins Ballot system chorus. Asks "why do you want the result in 2 hours?"

SP President and former CM Akhilesh Yadav said that the people of the country no longer have faith in EVMs, hence voting should be done through ballot on the lines of the United States of America (USA). SP will move forward taking everyone along to contest the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, he further stated and added that in the 2022 elections, we sent 18 thousand affidavits to the Election Commission regarding the cutting of votes of Yadavs and Muslims, but the Commission did not take action against even a single officer.

Akhilesh Yadav said, “We have repeatedly said, we understand technology and has grown with it. There is no trust in EVMs, voting should be done through ballot paper only, Yadav-Muslim votes were deliberately cut.” He further added, “In the world’s most powerful nation, (USA), the voting and counting goes on for months. When the people provide the responsibility to the government to spend about Rs 35 Lakh Crore (in case of Uttar Pradesh), then why do we expect (voting) results in 3 hours, 2 hours. Why should the counting not continue for a month?.”

The server was manipulated in Kannauj alleged Yadav quoting his district chief, so that votes could not be cast. Due to the uproar, the server was opened after four hours, said SP chief Yadav.

‘Will take support of all parties’: Akhilesh Yadav

In response to a question related to the India alliance in the press conference held at the SP headquarters, Akhilesh Yadav said that the aim of SP from the first day has been to counter the BJP. Therefore, to defeat BJP, “we will move forward respecting all the people and taking their support.” he said.

On the recovery of Rs 250 crore from the house of Congress MP, he said that the matter was put to rest by returning half of the amount recovered from the perfume merchant's house in Kanpur. This amount belonged to BJP people. Now the same will happen in this case also. He quipped that at that time the perfume merchant of Kanpur was said to be associated with SP, hence half of his amount should also be given to us, so that we can invest this money in the next elections.
