BJP Forms Committee of 4 MPs to Look Into Post-Poll Violence in Bengal, Biplab Deb To Be Convenor
The BJP said that the committee would “take immediate stock of the situation and report further.”

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president J P Nda on Saturday, June 15, formed a four-member committee to look into alleged political violence in West Bengal. BJP has also accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of remaining a mute spectator.
committee includes Biplab Kumar Deb, Ravi Shankar Pras, Brij Lal and Kavita Patidar, all BJP MPs. As per release, Biplab Deb has been appointed as convenor of 4-member committee.

BJP, in its statement, said that while elections and transfer of power took place in all states peacefully, West Bengal remains in “vice grip of post-poll violence”. BJP said that scale of political violence witnessed this Lok Sabha elections was similar to what happened during 2021 state assembly polls.
BJP said that committee would “take immediate stock of situation and report furr.”

“Mamata Banerjee remains a mute spectator, while criminals of her party, attack and intimidate opposition workers and voters with impunity. Even Calcutta High Court has taken note of se excesses and extended deployment of CAPF till June 21 and has listed matter for hearing on June 18,” BJP said in its release.

Lok Sabha elections were held across country and no instance of political violence was reported from anywhere except West Bengal, statement ded.
