The Congress party has voiced apprehensions regarding the recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids at the residence of Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, Raaj Kumar Anand. The senior Congress leader, Udit Raj, has alleged that central investigation agencies are operating at the behest of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the Centre.

In a statement concerning the ED raids conducted at the residence of Delhi Minister Raaj Kumar Anand, Udit Raj expressed his concerns, questioning the motivation behind these actions. He stated, "Why are these raids happening on opposition leaders? If, for instance, he joins the BJP, he will then be portrayed as a clean leader. It appears that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and ED are operating under the directives of the BJP, with the opposition being the primary target."

BJP Accuses AAP of Corruption Amid ED Raids

While the Congress has raised concerns about the motives behind the ED raids, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched fresh accusations against the AAP, alleging its involvement in corrupt activities. Harish Khurana, a prominent BJP leader in Delhi, stated, "We have been stating from the beginning that not only KejriwalAs per the source but in fact, the whole cabinet is involved in scams. Actions are being taken in accordance with the law. It has been reported that the matter is related to customs and Hawala. However, a series of AAP leaders will soon emerge, claiming that a conspiracy is being hatched against them and asserting their innocence."

Khurana went on to say, "You don't have to be scared if you haven't done anything wrong. But if you have indeed done wrong, then feeling apprehensive is legitimate. All of these allegations and counter-allegations point to the perception that the entire government is embroiled in corruption."
