Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam, during an interview with Republic TV, reiterated that there are leaders in the Congress party who hate Lord Ram.

Speaking exclusively to Republic Media Network's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, Acharya Pramod reflected on the Congress party's 'hatred' for Hinduism and how several 'powerful' leaders are allowing it.

"What I said is not a new thing. AK Antony stated in his report after Congress party's defeat in 2014 that a message was sent to the nation that Congress is an anti-Hindu party. And this is why the Congress party lost," the Congress leader told Arnab.

"Statements by Antony and by me have just a slight difference. I am saying that I feel that there is a congregation of anti-Hindu people in the Congress party who get annoyed by the word 'Hindu," he further said.

When asked about the members who are allowing Hindu hatred within the party, Acharya Pramod replied, “Congress is the party which follows Mahatma Gandhi's path. His gatherings would begin with 'Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram' and the slogans of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' would echo at Congress party's meetings. And I believe that today some (anti-Hindu) people have assembled in Congress who are very powerful.”

The Congressman also recalled the opening of the gates of the previously disputed property by then PM Rajiv Gandhi in 1985 but emphasised that nothing has changed within the Congress party regarding the repulsiveness to Lord Ram.

"When Rajiv Gandhi unlocked the doors of the Ram Temple in 1985, none of the Congress netas visited Ram Lalla because it was considered a disputed property," he said.

"But when the Honourable Supreme Court ruled on November 9, 2019 that Ayodhya is Ram Janmabhoomi and a temple will be constructed here, there was no dispute then, neither a Congress leader nor anyone from the I.N.D.I.A bloc visited Ram Lalla," Acharya Pramod further stated.

"This is most unfortunate for democracy, this is most unfortunate for the country," he added.
