Rajasthan: AIMIM senior leader and party spokesperson Waris Pathan suffered some bruises after the stage on which he was addressing a public meeting in Makwana in Rajasthan collapsed. As Waris was getting down after delivering his fiery speech criticising both the BJP and the Congress the crowd rushed on to the stage to meet him and it was then that the stage collapsed. Waris was immediately rescued by his supporters.

The incident happened as Pathan was giving a speech at a rally. He sustained some bruises as the stage fell. By the way, at the time of the incident, Pathan was supposedly attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Notably, the party is in limelight after Akbaruddin Owaisi, the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader and brother of party president Asaduddin Owaisi, on Tuesday openly threatened a police officer after he was asked to follow the model code of conduct, which was put in place in view of the Telangana assembly elections. The police inspector asked Owaisi to stop his speech, which he was exceeding, at a campaign in Hyderabad's Lalitabagh.
