Sonia Gandhi reveals a must-have 'Desi' dish she craves upon her return from abroad
Sonia Gandhi shared her food preferences in a video released on New Year's eve on Rahul Gandhi's YouTube channel.
Outside the arena of politics, Rahul Gandhi has made quite a name for himself on YouTube where he shares insights from his private life. This time, the Congress MP returned with a ‘delicious’ video where he tried his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's recipe of Marmalade with his mother Sonia Gandhi.
While many questions were answered in the video, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi revealed that whenever she goes abroad, there is one dish she craves for immediately upon her return and that is 'arhar ki daal' and 'chawal'.
She shared her food preferences in a video released on New Year's eve on Rahul's YouTube channel, and in it, both are seen making orange marmalade following Priyanka's recipe.
Several questions were also asked in the video like ‘who is the best cook in the house’ to which Rahul replied, "The best cook in the house was her (Sonia's) mother. She learned a whole bunch of things from Dadi's Kashmiri relatives."
Sonia Gandhi also recalled her early days in India saying, "when I came here, it took me time to get adjusted to the Indian flavours, especially the chilies."
Rahul revealed that his mother initially didn't like pickles and coriander. "It took me a little time but now I love it," she said.
Later in the video, Rahul revealed that he started to learn cooking when he used to study and work in England. "When I was studying and working in England, that's when I started to learn this stuff. I had no choice, I had to figure it out myself. I know a couple of things, so if I need then I can cook," he said.
