Manasi's inspirational story
Manasi was hit by a truck at a busy junction when she lost her left leg in an accident in 2011. She suffered multiple injuries and broke her arms as well. Manasi was rushed to the hospital and took nearly 10 hours to make it to the operation theater. After a 12-hour long surgery, she woke up to find out that she was left with an amputated leg due to gangrene. However, the unfortunate incident did not stop her from competing; she learned to walk with a prosthetic limb in 2012 and after four months of learning, Manasi participated in many inter-company badminton championships. Her spirit never let her lose hope and she decided to turn pro in 2014. With her continuous hard work and struggle, she went on to achieve her dream at the 2019 Para- BWF World Championships.
