Son of basketball legend LeBron James, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest during a practice session at USC. He had to be hospitalised thereafter.

LeBron James's son Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday while practicing at USC. The 18-year-old was rushed to the hospital immediately and his condition has been stabilised as per a statement given by a James family spokesperson to TMZ. A 911 call was reportedly made in the morning from the practice venue. The statement also confirmed that the young basketball player is no longer in ICU.

LeBron James' son stable after suffering cardiac arrest

The statement read, "Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. The medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information."

The spokesperson further added, "LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes."

Bronny James announced in May that he would play college basketball for the Trojans. He is an incoming freshman and was one of the top high school prospects in the country.
