Dallas Mavericks Luka Doncic joined Earvin 'Magic' Johnson to record a triple-double at Madison Square Garden before turning 21. Johnson was 84 days younger than Doncic when he scored his triple-double. Though Mavericks lost to the Knicks by 3 points, Doncic's performance was impressive. Johnson scored his triple-double in 1980.

Doncic is currently averaging at 28.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 9.1 assists per game and 1.1 steals per game. He is also has a 61.6% shooting percentage. According to NBA reports, Doncic will become the third player in NBA history to score 28 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists per game. Till now, Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook are two players who have managed to accomplish the feat.

David Fizdale has high praise for Luka Doncic after the Knicks defeated the Mavericks. “He’s going to push Dirk (Nowitzki) for the greatest european to ever play this game when it’s all said and done,” Fizdale said. Doncic finished with 33 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.
