Paul George will be making his debut for the Los Angeles Clippers against the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday night. The All-Star was recovering from two off-season shoulder surgeries and was hence sidelined. In May, the forward went through with a rotator cuff right shoulder surgery to repair a partially torn tendon. He later underwent another minor surgery in June to take care of a partial tear in his left labrum. Clippers traded George in July. He was expected to miss training camp and then start the NBA 2019-20 season.

Paul George averaged at career-high 28 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists last season. He also had a league-leading average of 2.2 steals per game. Kawhi Leonard and head coach Doc Rivers both made statements about George's return, confident that he will be a crucial part of their team.
Paul George's rehab and injuries
In an interview with a sports channel, George admitted to being tired of being in rehab. However, the player later added that he knows what the big picture is, and he is in the league for the long run. While talking to another sports website, he said that his previous experiences helped him remain patient this year.
