The Indian bowling attack was impressive yet again in the first Test between India and Bangladesh. While the bowlers delivered the goods, India’s slip fielding was extremely poor as the Indian fielders were guilty of dropping as many as four catches in Bangladesh's first innings. While captain Virat Kohli spilt a simple catch, vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane had a poorer day on the field, putting down as many as three catches standing in the slips.
Ajinkya Rahane drops 3 catches
Ajinkya Rahane, one of India’s most reliable catchers and a constant in India’s slip cordon, bore the brunt of his poor performance on the field as fans vented out their frustration on Twitter. Many fans hilariously blamed Rahane's poor performance on his impending trade to the Delhi Capitals. Fortunately for India, his dropped catches did not cause much damage as Bangladesh were bowled out for 150, with Mohammad Shami picking up 3 wickets. Here is what the netizens thought of Rahane’s performance.
