Asia Cup 2023: Team India to be knocked out if rain plays spoilsport in IND vs NEP?

The Indian cricket team will be up against Nepal in a must-win on September 4, 2023, at the Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy. The IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 match was washed out due to rain and both the teams shared one point each. Pakistan went through to the Super 4 stage of the multination Asian tournament, whereas, India are yet to win a match in the Asia Cup 2023.

Will Team India qualify for Super 4 if the IND vs NEP match is washed out? 

After India vs Pakistan,  Asia Cup 2023 match was washed out due to rain. There are also predictions of rain in the IND vs NEP match in Pallekele, As per the weather predictions, there is a 60 percent chance of rain on September 4, 2023, and it might also get washed out. However, the fans will be very eager to know what will be the Indian team's qualification scenario, if it gets washed out. 

If the IND vs NEP Asia Cup 2023 match gets washed out due to rain, the Indian team will qualify for the Super 4 stage as both teams will share one point each. On this basis, Team India will have two points which will take them through to the next stage of the tournament. On the other hand, one point will not be enough for Nepal to qualify for the next stage of the Asia Cup and they will get eliminated from the tournament.

Are there chances for Team India to get ruled out of the Asia Cup? 

If there will be no interruptions in the IND vs NEP Asia Cup 2023 match and Nepal are able to pull off an upset against Team India then the seven-time Asia Cup champions will get ruled out of the tournament. This will be because Nepal will get two points after winning the match and will join Pakistan in the Super 4 stage. 

The Indian cricket team top order failed to perform against Pakistan and batsmen like skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill were dismissed cheaply. However, it was the Indian team's middle order, that stood up to the expectations and took the team out of trouble after an early collapse.
