KL Rahul seeking to attain 100% fitness before Asia Cup 2023
KL Rahul has been out of action since IPL 2023. The right-hander was inflicted with a thigh injury during the uproarious RCB vs LSG match. Since then he's been undergoing recovery. However, just before the imminent marquee tournaments, Rahul's fitness update is steering in as a major boost for Team India. As per new developments, Rahul started practising a week ago and has begun to give emphasis to his wicket-keeping gloves as well. It should be noted that in the absence of a seasoned wicketkeeper, KL Rahul is being looked up as the premier choice for the keeper's role for the forthcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023, thus, a match practice in Asia Cup is a looming reality.

Major update on KL Rahul
According to PTI, Rahul has exhibited significant improvement lately. He is performing well on both ends, i.e., batting and wicketkeeping, and is seeking to reach his 100% before the start of the Asia Cup 2023 and World Cup 2023.
"(KL) Rahul showed impressive fitness levels over the match simulation programme (at the NCA) while batting and doing the wicketkeeping duties for an extended period (today). "He has started batting from earlier this week and has now added wicketkeeping as well,” a source close to the development told PTI.
Thus, it seems KL Rahul will lekely be in the squad for Asia Cup 2023. As for Shreayas Iyer, the obscurity continues. But in a few hours, clarity will prevail.
