Wonderful 100’s from Shubhman Gill and Shreyas Iyer, but Surya Kumar Yadav is the difference. Our top 5 can all play at a similar pace but SKY is the difference. Can turn around a match on his own. Takatak Chakachak. pic.twitter.com/DqCMSDujD1

This was Suryakumar Yadav's second consecutive ODI half-century. He played a knock of 50 runs in the first ODI match. Surya was not in good form with the bat in the 50-over format and constantly failed to perform despite getting numerous amount of chances. Surya was dismissed for three back-to-back ducks against Australia in the ODI series played earlier this year and got out playing some poor shots in the 2023 Asia Cup.

However, the Kangaroos had struck early and removed opener Ruturaj Gaikwad for a score of 8 runs. Though, Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill had different plans and the duo added 200 runs for the second wicket and didn't allow Australia to come back in the match.
