ICC ODI World Cup is just around the corner and teams have been gearing up for the epic showdown by playing various bilateral series respectively. Team India just finished taking part in the Asia Cup in which they ended up becoming the winners of the continental tournament whereas South Africa defeated Australia by 3-2 in a 5-match ODI series and England defeated New Zealand by 3-1 in the 4-match ODI series.

Pietersen names top-4 contenders of World Cup
Former England cricketer, Kevin Pietersen, has dubbed South Africa as among top contenders in the upcoming ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023.
Pietersen took over his social media platform 'X' and named potential contenders for the World Cup, which included South Africa, along with the reasons. According to the former batter, the Proteas emerged as clear favorites after their latest One Day International (ODI) series triumph against Australia.

Stage set for ICC ODI World Cup
The ICC World Cup 2023 will take place in India with 10 teams fighting for the elusive title across 10 venues from October 5 to November 19, with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosting the tournament opener and the final.
Meanwhile, Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium and Kolkata's Eden Gardens will host the two semi-finals. Meanwhile, India will face Australia in their campaign opener, on October 8 in Chennai.
