South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn doesn’t just play great cricket. He also has his Instagram game strong. The cricketer recently posted pictures of him surfing in Bali, mentioning that he needed some 'vitamin sea.' The beautiful pictures from the exotic island are enough to make anyone yearn for a vacation amongst the sun and the seas.

In the pictures, Steyn shows off his surfboarding skills with picturesque mountains in the backdrop. In the caption, Steyn wrote that after a hectic cricket season, he would be happy just to get away and relax surfing. One of the fiercest bowlers in the world, the South African is also a keen adventurer off the field.

Fishing other than Cricket

While scrolling through his Instagram account, among pictures of the game he so loves, we can also find glimpses of Steyn’s adventures and escapades. He is an animal lover, a keen surfer and a fishing enthusiast. His love for angling is next to only cricket. He has been fishing for close to nine years and routinely takes off for fishing trips with his friends. The cricketer does not fail to post pictures with his big catches. However, sometimes, his ventures have landed him in trouble too. Once, while playing in Zimbabwe, Steyn went out fishing with his buddies and got a hook stuck to his knee. He even posted a picture of doctors trying to get the hook out, captioning it – 'Sometimes, you get it wrong.' Steyn also loves underwater activities like scuba diving. He is known to take regular adventure trips that bring him closer to nature and even advocates environmental preservation. Steyn is a hiker as well, climbing trails and sometimes, even mountains. His Instagram feed would reveal that Steyn rarely posts any pictures of him indoors. Every opportunity he gets, the South African makes sure to get away into nature.
