Virender Sehwag's major remark on India's ODI World Cup 2023 playing XI

Former Indian cricket team opener Virender Sehwag while speaking to Cricbuzz stated that Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan will not be India's first-choice middle-order batsmen in the ODI World Cup 2023. Sehwag further believes that Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul will be the Indian middle-order batsmen in the team's first match against Australia. Virender Sehwag said:

At No. 6 and 7 KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya will be there. So Suryakumar won't be there at either of those positions. There is No. 5 though. But if Hardik Pandya is your sixth bowler then Rahul will bat at No. 5, and Hardik at No. 6, then comes the bowlers. We thought Ishan Kishan could fit in somewhere in the line-up, but that hundred which Shreyas Iyer scored, if he plays at No. 4 then it will be Iyer, Rahul and Hardik at No. 4, 5 and 6 respectively.

Will KL Rahul continue his form in the ODI World Cup 2023?

India cricket team batter KL Rahul has been in decent form with the bat since his return to international cricket after injury. Rahul scored a ton against Pakistan in the 2023 Asia Cup and has been scoring 40 and 50s after the match. Rahul also led the Indian team in the first two IND vs AUS ODI matches and played an important role in the team's win. The Indian management will want Rahul to continue his decent form with the bat in the upcoming 50-over World Cup.
