Gautam Gambhir has captained Kolkata Knight Riders to two IPL titles. The left-hander who played in the IPL for the Delhi Capitals and the Kolkata Knight Riders was one of the tournament's most prolific scorers. Gautam Gambhir is 10th on the all-time highest run-getters list in the IPL. He has scored 4217 runs with 36 half-centuries. Gautam Gambhir: 71* vs Kolkata Knight Riders, 2009
The 2009 Delhi Daredevils side was near invincible as they steamrolled over everybody on their road to the semi-finals. In this game, KKR batted first as Ganguly won the toss and the team posted a target of 154. Gambhir remained unbeaten as he led DD to a victory with an over to spare.
Gautam Gambhir: 72 vs Kings XI Punjab, 2010
This was Gautam Gambhir's last year with the Daredevils before he began his iconic run at Kolkata. After Gambhir won the toss, he chose to bowl first. Kings XI gave DD a target of 143. Gambhir's 72 at the top helped Delhi chase the total down in 19.5 overs.
Gautam Gambhir: 75* vs Rajasthan Royals, 2011
This was Gautam Gambhir's first season with KKR. He won the toss and made the Royals bat first at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The Royals gave KKR a target of 160. Jacques Kallis and Gambhir helped KKR script an easy victory as Gambhir made 75* and the former made 80*. KKR won by 9 wickets.
Gautam Gambhir: 90* vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, 2016
KKR ended this IPL at Number 4 after getting eliminated in the Eliminator. This match against Hyderabad saw David Warner winning the toss and batting first. SRH could only manage 142 in their innings. Gambhir made the chase easy as he held his end till KKR won the match with 1.4 overs to spare. Gambhir stayed unbeaten at 90 with 13 fours and a single six.
Gautam Gambhir: 93 vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, 2012
This was the year when KKR finally won an IPL. Gambhir, who was now in his second year at KKR, won the toss and chose to bat at Eden Gardens. Gambhir made 93 and was well supported by Brendon McCullum and Jacques Kallis as KKR ended at 190. RCB put forward a fighting effort led by Christopher Henry Gayle's 86 but they fell short by 47 runs.
