Shaw under the care of BCCI's medical staff
Shaw leaves the competition as the current top run-scorer, amassing an impressive 429 runs in four innings, including a remarkable record-breaking 244 against Somerset. Beyond his on-field achievements, he also left a positive mark in the dressing room, displaying his commitment to winning games and contributing to the team's success.
“As well as his performances on the field he had a huge impact in our dressing room. Nobody wanted to win games more than him and he contributed to us doing so. We wish him well and hope to see him scoring runs again soon,” Sadler concluded.
The club has sent Shaw its best wishes and has hoped for a swift recovery. The young cricketer is now under the care of the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and is set to consult a specialist in London on Friday for further guidance on his injury and recovery.
