Indian batters show no mercy to Australia

After emphatic wins in the Asia Cup final and the 1st ODI of the series against Australia in Mohali, Team India is riding high with winning momentum and the 2nd ODI became a testimony of that. Following Ruturaj Gaikwad's early dismissal, all eyes were on Shreyas Iyer as his inclusion in the World Cup squad was a subject of scepticism by many experts and fans. However, he came with a positive intent and made the most of the opportunity on a pitch which proved to be a batting paradise. Iyer and Shubman Gill added 200 for the 3rd wicket and both dealt in 4s and 6s during their stay at the wicket. After the century apiece innings of Gill and Iyer, stand-in captain KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav carried the acceleration and frequently sent the ball for a tour. To put it into perspective, Indian batters hit 18 sixes in the match. The run-flow saw many milestones being achieved.
