Ind vs Ban: India's historic Day-Night Test to witness mascots, 3D mapping, LED boards

Ind vs Ban: There is a flurry of activities ahead of the first-ever Day-Night Test in India starting Friday, which are set to include mascots, 3D mapping etc.

Frenzied activity is ruling the roost ahead of the first-ever Day-Night Test to be played in India. The historic Test match will be played between India and Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata starting Friday, November 22. According to various Indian media reports, Army Paratroopers will fly in to hand over the pink ball to both sides on the day of the match.

Ind vs Ban mascots: Tinku and Pinku

The mascots, Pinku and Tinku will also be seen in the lead up to the match and on the match day to attract more school children to the event. On Sunday, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly was also seen posing with one of the match tickets and the mascots. There is also a giant pink balloon that has been secured near the stadium, which will remain until the end of the match.

According to reports, some Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) parks and even the Sahid Minar will be decked up festively to celebrate the historic match being played in the city. These buildings will be illuminated with pink lights, while the iconic Tata Steel building will have a 3D mapping from November 20. In honour of the match, popular cricket clubs in the country such as the Measurer’s Club, will have their maidans turn pink at night.

Similar illumination has also been seen on the historic Hooghly River since Saturday. These lightings will alternate between Howrah Bridge and Vidyasagar Setu till the match day. Reports also state that there will be a dozen billboards promoting the match. Six LED boards and branded buses will ply on the roads from Monday to increase awareness about the game.
With both teams set to arrive in the city within the next 48 hours, all roads in Kolkata are set to lead to the Eden Gardens.
