IND vs BAN: Shivam Dube believes in his aggressive batting style

Mumbai all-rounder Shivam Dube made his way into the Indian T20I side for the three-match series against Bangladesh. Dube has come in as a replacement for Hardik Pandya and was selected over Vijay Shankar as the second choice all-rounder for the Indian limited-overs side. In a recent interview with an online portal, Dube expressed his gratefulness for being selected for the tour.

Dube loves his aggressive style

Dube, who became notorious for hitting five consecutive sixes off Pravin Tambe's bowling in a 2018 Mumbai T20 match, acknowledged his aggressive batting style and mentioned that his abilities are a mix of his natural talent and his father's influence. Dube remained grateful to God and his father for helping him make an International debut. He also added that he was fairly confident about getting selected in the Indian team. He further stated that as an all-rounder, his goal was to stay 100 per cent present in the happenings of the game. Dube is coming off a great stint with India A and a great performance in the Vijay Hazare trophy. Shivam Dube bagged a contract with the Royal Challengers Banglore for whom he played in the last season of the IPL. Dubey's current IPL contract pays him a reported ₹5 crores per season.

Chief selector MSK Prasad shared the Indian squad for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh. Virat Kohli will be resting and Rohit Sharma will take over the reins as captain. Shivam Dube comes in as the main all-rounder in place of an injured Hardik Pandya.
