Rohit Sharma distraught after Team India's batting collapse
After winning the toss and batting first the Indian cricket team started off well and were 15/0 before rain interrupted the play. Soon, the play resumed, but the loss in momentum resulted in a collapse of the Indian team and Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi cleaned up Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in two consecutive overs. Shreyas Iyer was next to fall against Haris Rauf for a score of 14 runs off 9 balls. After the dismissal of Shreyas Iyer, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma looked helpless and tense in the dressing room.

Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya lead India's fightback against Pakistan
The Indian team was in deep trouble after they lost the wicket of Shubman Gill at a score of 66 runs. The Pakistani pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf were bowling at a serious pace and it looked difficult for the Indian batsmen to stay at the crease. However, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya had different ideas and added 138 runs off 141 balls for the fifth wicket. Kishan and Hardik both missed on well-deserved centuries and got out for scores of 82 and 87 runs respectively.
Ishan Kishan's match-saving knock has forced the selectors to debate on his name while picking up the squad for the ODI World Cup 2023. The Indian cricket team has been searching for a like-to-like replacement for injured Rishabh Pant. His innings have now put him ahead of Sanju Samson and might get picked for the 50-over World Cup.
