IND vs SA Live: Mayank Agarwal's maiden ton, Rohit Sharma gets to 150

The fans at the ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam are witnessing a gem of an Indian innings as the Indian opening batsmen have not let visitors South Africa get any momentum going their way since Day 1 of the three-match Test series. After captain Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first, openers Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal have wreaked havoc on the pitch. Both Rohit and Agarwal are now past their centuries as India sit at a comfortable 313/0 from 85 overs.

Debut hundred for Mayank Agarwal

Agarwal has been working hard in the domestic circuit for quite some time now. The Karnataka batsman has now scored his maiden Test hundred for India. He reached his hundred on the 204th ball of his innings as he ran down the pitch with his hands up in the air to celebrate and the entire dressing room applauded in return. Rohit then proceeded to congratulate Agarwal and signal him to take it easy. Agarwal has hit 13 boundaries and 2 sixes till now. This is Agarwal's fifth Test match for India and he has not let the opportunity slide. Rohit, on the other end, has breached the 150 mark. The Mumbai lad's highest Test score is 177.

A dominant India

The Indian batting unit has dominated the Proteas attack since the beginning of the match. After Rohit was opened the innings, he and Agarwal gave the audience something to constantly cheer about. Before rain shortened the length of the match on Day 1, a dominant Rohit reached his maiden Test match hundred as an opener, while Agarwal supported him with his 84*.
