Day two of the first India vs South Africa Test match is underway at Visakhapatnam. After winning the toss, skipper Virat Kohli chose to bat first. India since then have been very dominant against South Africa's bowling attack. The biggest highlight of the first innings was the 317-run partnership between Mayank Agarwal and first-time Test opener, Rohit Sharma.

Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to express his joy after watching Mayank Agarwal's innings. He acknowledged how Agarwal has worked hard since he debuted for team India against Australia in December 2018. Agarwal scored his maiden Test hundred this morning and has now converted that into his maiden Test double hundred. The Karnataka batsman lost his wicket at 215. Sachin, in his tweet, also appreciated the partnership that Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal shared. The duo scored 317 runs together, which is the third-highest partnership between an Indian opening pair in Test cricket. It is the 12th highest Test opening partnership of all time. Rohit Sharma, opening in Tests for the first time, scored 176 which was just one run shy of his highest Test score of all-time.
Ind vs SA: Dominant India
Ever since the start of play on day one, the Indian batting line-up has dominated South Africa. Mayank Agarwal and Rohit Sharma scripted a beautiful start to the innings and by the end of the day, India had a solid hold on the match. Rainfall shortened play on day one and play ended with Rohit on 115* and Mayank on 84*. This morning, the batsmen took back to the game with the same momentum.
Rohit Sharma ended his innings when he got out at 176. Pujara and captain Virat Kohli could not make too much of their wicket as both got out cheaply. Ajinkya Rahane lost his wicket at 15. India are at 448-5. Mayank Agarwal is the star of the show as only in his fifth Test match, he has gotten his maiden Test hundred and has converted it into a double hundred.
