Team India have been crowned the champions of Asia Cup 2023 as they beat Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the final. Indian Team needed a paltry 51 runs to lay their hand on a record eighth Asia Cup title. Mohammed Siraj and Hardik Pandya ran riot on a bowling-friendly Colombo pitch as the former also recorded the best-ever figure in the Asia Cup by an Indian bowler. Kusal Mendis was the top Sri Lankan scorer with a meager 17 runs.

Ahead of the ICC ODI World Cup next year, Siraj's six-wicket haul will be a major boost for Team India who will be one of the favourites for the tournament. Siraj was the chief architect as the Island nation was bowled out within 15 overs and the Indian openers would happily take the guard in the second innings.

Indian cricket Team had the perfect preparation for the ICC ODI World Cup as they crushed Sri Lanka by ten wickets to claim their eighth Asia Cup title. Siraj's excellent six-wicket haul paved the way for Team India as their opponent barely had the chance to prove their mettle on the crease. In the second innings, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill had it easy as the Sri Lankan bowlers failed to mount any challenge at R. Premdasa Stadium.
