After beating Pakistan by an overwhelming margin of 228 runs, Team India is the favorite to advance. After batting first, India put on a mammoth 356 runs on the board, courtesy of centuries by Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. Earlier, Shubman Gill and captain Rohit Sharma gave the side the ideal start, and each scored a fifty.
Chasing 357, Pakistan was never in the game and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Kuldeep Yadav became the pick of the bowlers, he took 5 wickets for just 24 runs after 8 overs. Pak could only score 128 runs and as a result, India registered the biggest-ever victory over Pakistan.
