The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday unveiled the provisional Indian squad for the upcoming ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, which is scheduled to be held later this year. Rohit Sharma has been named the captain of the team, while Hardik Pandya will be his deputy. One of the most notable exclusions from the squad is Yuzvendra Chahal, who has been left out once again with Axar Patel getting the nod of the selectors.

Indian men's cricket team's chief selector Ajit Agarkar on Tuesday announced a 15-member provisional squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup. Agarkar said that no changes will be made to the provisional World Cup squad until there is an injury in the team.

Big names like Yuzvendra Chahal and Shikhar Dhawan have not been picked in the squad for the marquee ICC tournament. Sanju Samson, who is part of India's Asia Cup 2023 team as a travelling reserve, failed to obtain a spot in the World Cup squad despite being with the team for the past several months. Netizens have started flooding social media platforms with reactions to India's World Cup squad.
