Jemimah Rodrigues stood tall with his excellent knock of 53 off just 38 balls as India defeats Pakistan by seven wickets.

Richa Ghosh missed a fuller delivery from Sadia Iqbal and the ball hit the pad. Umpire raised the finger but as Richa reviewed it could be seen there's a very thin edge.  IND 109/3 after 16 0vers

Harmanpreet tried to play across the spin and Maroof took an easy catch to send the Indian skipper back, India 102/3 after 14.5 overs

Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur stabilise the Indian chase with some intelligent hitting all around the park, India 92/2 after 13 overs

Shafali tried to hit it out of the park but Ameen took a brilliant catch at the long-off to dismiss the set batter, India 65/2 after 9.1 overs

Yastika chips it straight to Fatima Sana who didn't make any mistake and took a regulation catch. IND 39/1 after 5.5 overs

Sadia thought he got the prized wicket of Shafali but the batter was quick to take to the review and she survived

The final over of the innings started with Maroof taking a single. Naseem was dropped in the next ball and was awarded six runs before she took a single in the next ball. Maroof hit a four and took a single in the next ball. The over finished with a dot ball, as Pakistan gave a target of 150 runs to India.

Ayesha Nadeem was dropped by Radha Yadav in the penultimate ball of the innings' penultimate over. Pakistan scored 10 runs off the 19th over, reaching 136/4. 

Pakistan Captain Bismah Maroof completed her fifty in 45 balls the first ball of the 17th over. The partnership between Maroof and Ayesha Naseem has now reached 52 runs in 26 balls. Ayesha is now unbeaten on 33 runs off 18 balls.

Pakistan were 91/4 after 15 overs in the first innings. Bismah Mahroof is currently batting on 41 off 39, while Ayesha Naseem was on 16 off 11.

Radha Yadav dismissed Sidra Ameen in the first ball of the 12th over. Ameen scored 11 rubs off 18 balls during his time at the crease, while Pakistan were reduced to 68/4 in 12.1 overs.

Pakistan were 58/3 after 10 overs in the first innings of the match. Pooja Vastarkar, Radha Yadav and Renuka Thakur have registered wickets for India so far.

Pooja Vastarkar became the third wicket-taker for India, reducing Pakistan to 43/3 in 7.3 overs. Dar went back to the pavilion on a duck.

After Pakistan scored 39/1 in the powerplay, Radha Yadav removed Muneeba Ali in the fifth ball of the 7th over. Ali was stumped by Richa Ghosh. She scored 12 runs off 14 balls.

Deepti Sharma picked the wicket of Javeria Wadood for 8 off 6 balls. Harmanpreet Kaur took the catch at short fine leg. Pakistan are 1-10 in 1.4 overs. 

Renuka Thakur opened the bowling for India in the opener against Pakistan. She conceded three runs in her first over.

Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof won the toss and elected to bat first in their T20 World Cup opener against India at Newlands, Cape Town. 

Smriti Mandhana has been ruled out of the match due to injury concerns. Harmanpreet Kaur now has the task of finding a suitable replacement for India's star batter.
