At the same time, 'Dada' also shared his memories about the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium from his time as a player.

"Lots of memories! With so many Test matches and so many one-dayers, it has been a happy-hunting ground for me with lots of hundreds. It will be even better if we qualify this season. That is going to be the most important memory in a couple of months time", he added.

Known as 'God of Off-side' during his heyday, Ganguly did not forget the Delhi fans and thanked them for supporting the team whenever they needed it. He also gave a message as well as a promise to the fans on behalf of the team. The promise was that the newly rechristened Delhi franchise will turn around and play better cricket than what they have played in the last 10 years. He also urged the fans to come out in huge numbers and support the team.

When asked about his interaction with the team's young players Ganguly said that he just tries and helps them in the way they are playing, adding that he makes sure that he does not teach the youngsters as they have their own unique style of playing the game and that is what has made them successful.

Delhi Capitals will kickstart their IPL campaign against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium on March 24.
