IPL 2020: Chris Lynn denies friction with KKR, aims for higher price at upcoming auction

Explosive Australian Chris Lynn talked about being released by the Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the IPL 2020 Auction. Lynn has scored 896 runs for KKR.

Explosive Australian opening batsman Chris Lynn smashed the highest-ever score of in the history of the T10 League when he made 91 runs off 31 balls against Team Abu Dhabi on Monday. After the match, Lynn spoke about his innings and his opinion on being released by the Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the 2020 IPL Auction. Lynn was an integral part of the Knight Riders in the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

Chris Lynn: 'No hard feelings towards KKR'

When asked about his views on being released by KKR, Lynn maintained that he was not harbouring any bad feelings towards the owners, the management or the head coach. Lynn added that KKR coach Brendon McCullum was only trying to win the team another IPL. Lynn looked optimistic when he added that players 'twice as good as him' had been released by teams, so he really did not have too much to feel bad about.

Talking about his IPL future, Lynn said that an innings like the 91* blitz he played were important to stay fresh in the minds of the coaches and owners of the league's franchises. The IPL Auction 2020 will take place at Kolkata on December 19. Chris Lynn is expected to be one of the biggest earners of the auction. He scored 1274 runs for KKR in 40 matches. His highest IPL score is 93*.

Chris Lynn's T10 League 2019 30-ball blitz

With a format like T10, it is hard to imagine a batsman scoring a hundred but Chris Lynn almost made that possible on Monday when he scored 91* in the 30 balls that he faced. Lynn talked about the innings after the match and mentioned that he will look to break the record in the coming matches. The Australian was the Player of the Match as his team, Maratha Arabians, comfortably beat Team Abu Dhabi to register their second win in the tournament.
