The auction for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League will be taking place in Kolkata in December. In the IPL 2019, Delhi Capitals rose above expectations and performed exceedingly well. DC overcame Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator but they were beaten by Chennai Super Kings in the second qualifier.

Some overseas players disappointed along the way, which the team could look to release at the auction. Here are the 3 players that Capitals might release before this year’s auctions.

Colin Ingram

Delhi Capitals spent Rs 6.4 crore on the South African batsman, who only scored 184 runs. Last season, Ingram finished with an average of only 18.4 in the 12 games. Having roped in Ravichandran Ashwin for a big fee a few days ago, DC certainly need to free up some funds for the auction.

Colin Munro

New Zealand opener Colin Munro played just 4 matches for the Delhi Capitals last season and managed to score 84 runs. The capital paid Rs. 1.90 crore for the services of Munro in the 2018 auction. Due to consistently poor performances, Munro never managed to find a spot in Delhi's starting XI. It seems likely that Delhi will part ways with Munro ahead of the upcoming season.

Trent Boult

A lot was expected from the New Zealand pacer but he just couldn't deliver the goods last season. The left-arm pacer played 5 matches and managed to pick up just 5 wickets. His economy of 8.25 was a little on the expensive side. So, in all likelihood, Boult might get released ahead of the IPL 2020.
